In her work the artist deals with the question of concreteness. Last but not least, because of the process of casting in her production a constructive link of out and inside forms are being addressed. Her working materials are amongst others plaster and cement, bronze and styropor which she uses for the first time in this 7. solo show in Osterwalders Art Office. If the surfaces are fitting, they are able to communicate with each other without knowing the whole content. All objects and sculptures in the exhibition are addressing personal issues for creating this new body of work. The title of the show Schnittstelle is at the same time addressing other points of contact among themselves in the installation. The smile of two sculptures in the castle of Straa, parked in the inner court yard amongst many, glancing through numerous pillars to consider the spectator. In this history charged place I asked myself if they have smiled at Napoleon, the Italian Kings, Mussolini and Hitler...From this came the double portrait of the Königskinder . Everything relegates towards the position of the baroque era being so agitated and lively reaching ecstasies (Brockhaus). The first glance deceives. The Kings children are ending in death. Death cult, heart urnes, ornamented sarcophagus frames, crowns being the sign of earthly power, heads of cyclamen lead to the church and Luise Rinsers matricide, but not towards salvation. The styrofoam being light and brittle. Packaging material and cover against the cold, heat, jolt and hit. No sumptuous baroque comes out of that. Light is the material, but the lightness of the unburdened happy life of the prince and princesses in my childrens fairy story is not obtained....

german version

Heino Goeb
Shez Dawood (shez360)
Lela Erlenwein
Christiane Gerlach
Vanessa Grannum
Kevin Francis Gray
Richard Hartwell
Tim Head
Eva Köchling
David Neat - Pralinenobjekte
Nemo G.
